These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website pdftools.am and the PDF tools and services we provide (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by PDFTools ("PDFTools", "we", "us", "our"). PDFTools operates from the Republic of Armenia. Full legal-entity details (registered name, address and registration number) will be published here once finalized; in the meantime you can reach us through our Contact page at pdftools.am/contact.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may close your account at any time.

4. Plans, billing and renewal

The Service offers a free tier and paid plans. Prices, limits and features are described on our Pricing page. Paid plans may renew automatically for the period you selected unless cancelled before the renewal date. Taxes may apply depending on your location. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Billing Policy.

5. Your files and content

You retain all rights to the files and content you process. You grant us only the limited, temporary licence necessary to perform the operation you request (for example, to merge, split, convert or compress a file) and to deliver the result back to you.

Many tools run entirely in your browser and your files never leave your device. Tools that require server processing upload your file solely to perform the requested operation; the file is processed in temporary storage and deleted promptly after the job completes or fails. You are solely responsible for the files you process and you confirm that you have the right to use them.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, logos and trademarks, is owned by PDFTools or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.

8. Third-party services and advertising

The Service may include advertising and may use third-party providers for payments, analytics and advertising. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including limits applicable to free or paid plans.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that processed files will be error-free or suitable for any particular use. Always keep a backup of your original files.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFTools and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or, if you use the free tier, a nominal sum.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PDFTools from any claims, damages or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date below reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where reasonable. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the Republic of Armenia shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
